Las Vegas Player’s Card - Perks

There has been a lot of discussions, Pro and Con concerning the player’s cards.
Player cards can be seen as Good and/or Evil.
With many casino’s using tiered levels, such as Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, or any other colorful naming, is there any advantage?

Absolutely … Las Vegas offers all kinds of perks, many are just to join the players club.

Many times these benefits are hard to beat … especially when coming to town and looking for discounted or free rooms. I consider it a side-benefit for your play, no matter your level.

Las Vegas Casino’s are in competition for your action and loyalty. Even though your action may not to be big enough to warrant a host, but don‘t overlook the Marketing aspect.
From free rooms, discounted rooms, and/or feeding your face, the casino’s are in business to gain player appreciation and play, whether through a host, pit comp, or marketing.

Las Vegas needs the tourists and gamblers to satisfy it’s appetite ..why shouldn't that be us with a little help from the friendly casino‘s.

I realize the player’s card may not be for everyone and we have heard some horror stories, but by and large … I feel its got more pluses than minuses.
Normally, asking for any comps at the tables with out handing in a player’s card is met with resistance and rejection. And YES at times offers seem to come and go, depending on the time of year.

Many DI’s prefer staying under the radar and remain anonymous …that’s fine. Do I turn my card in every place I play, of course not. On “Hit & Run,” “Recon” and certain other conditions I try to avoid the card.

If your plans are to stay under the radar and go unnoticed that‘s Okay.
But you may want to get some of those Player Card perks.

In reviewing some of the local Las Vegas magazines I found some coupons for new Player Club Sign-ups.

It’s your choice, I say …. Take and Make the best of what Las Vegas has to offer.
