Saturday Night at the Boat...What a drag!

Some Saturday Nights just can't compare with others!

At the last minute Laser910 suggested that we go to the Ameristar boat instead of the U-Boat. We hadn’t been there in two months and it was time to see if the tables had changed.

We took the Bat-mobile instead of the Lincoln and arrive at 7:50 p.m.
Longshot was already in position at a $5, 14 foot table. Laser910 spotted a $10, 12 foot table getting ready to open. We asked the Box gal if they would reserve SR-1 and SL-1 with a chair. She took my card and said, “No problem.” I went over and told Longshot where we would be and before I got back to the $10 table they had is marked $15. Longshot was in Laser910’s saved position.

Laser910 the gentleman that he is said to forget it and went off to play video poker. That wasn’t good because we needed our experienced shooter in the game and in position.

Earlier in the afternoon jswick and Longshot came over for an hour practice session on my table. I tried to prove a point to them. I challenged them to throwing four times without making a seven. They both tried five or six times without doing it once. My point was your not going to beat the casino at the stage of dice influencing your at now.

But enough of that! It’s all in the book! Getting back to the game at hand, point seven and out was the theme of the night with a lot of eights showing up. Placing the eight on the random rollers was the only thing working out. It was short lived and I did very little pressing. Same bet was the order of the night.

Jswick showed up and was ahead the amount of his buy in. But like the rest of us he over stayed his good luck and then bad luck took over. The tables were bouncy as ever. 2 ½ hours was over kill and we got killed. I think Longshot lost his car and had to swim home. The evening was a real drag!

Laser910 faired a lot better at the poker machines. We could have used him! We considered stopping at the U Boat but enough was enough. What a drag.
